Miriam Londono studierte in Kolumbien und Florence Kunst und hat nach ihrem Studium angefangen mit Papier und Pappe herumzuexperimentieren. Ihre Arbeit fokusiert sich meist auf die Textilien sowie Text und Schrift selbst. Sie formt mir ihrer Kalligrafie lichtdurchlässige und recht offene Strukturen und spielt so mit auch mit dem Schatten. In vielen Ausstellungen kann man ihre Arbeit und auch ihre unfassbare, wirklch gut gelungene Paper-Graffiti Art begutachten – we say…really good job:

Miriam Londono makes a career out of interesting paper sculptures and installation like work, but it is her paper calligraphy, and her paper graffiti, that has our attention today. The layering, detail, and the ability to manipulate paper is something we have not seen before. On her site, it mentions that Londono has “experimented a great deal with paper fibbers, developing a personal technique to write and draw with paper as if it were ink.”
